UHS Foundation 2017 hurricane relief

Please consider joining Alan B. Miller, UHS Chairman of the Board and CEO, by donating to the UHS Foundation to help those affected by hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. Contributions will be allocated to meet the immediate personal needs (housing, utilities, clothing and other basic necessities) of UHS employees who are severely impacted by the hurricanes. Levels of emergency assistance are decided by an appointed committee and are based on household size and historical levels of emergency assistance provided by disaster relief organizations. We are committed to meeting the needs of all eligible employees and their families.

As of October 10, the Foundation has been able to issue almost $180,000 to employees and their families in Texas, Florida, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Despite this good news, the need is still great, especially in Puerto Rico (requests for Foundation assistance are just starting to come in from Puerto Rico). All donations to the Foundation for hurricane relief are being matched by the company and are also tax deductible.
