Herschel Walker is a former professional football player, winner of The Heisman Trophy, successful businessman, author and mental health advocate. As Spokesperson for the UHS Patriot Support Program, Herschel has engaged with thousands of members of the military, sharing his message of hope and resilience, and inspiring others to seek needed care.

In this interview conducted by Jane Crawford, Director of Public Relations at UHS, Herschel discusses mental health strategies people can use during the COVID-19 pandemic, and how he has overcome adversity throughout his life. He gives advice on how everyone can improve their mental health now — during these trying times — and into the future.
