Every day across the country, thousands of UHS employees play an important role in helping patients and their families. Whether it is saving lives in an emergency department, helping people conquer addictions, working with stroke patients in rehabilitiation programs or teaching children with autism, UHS employees are no strangers to helping others.
But that's not enough for many of our employees who spend their spare time and put out extra effort helping others by volunteering their time, raising money for charities or by giving patients just a little special attention to make them feel more comfortable and more at ease. Here are the stories of some of those people — UHS employees who give extra of themselves to help others. In short, UHS Heroes.
