He was recognized for his distinguished service as the 1996-97 Chairman of the Philadelphia, PA, UNCF Corporate Campaign and for his commitment to the higher education of students in the Delaware Valley. The United Negro College Fund is a national campaign to benefit private black colleges.
1996 NOVA Award Presented to Aiken Regional Medical Centers by The American Hospital Association
Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, SC, was honored for its collaboration with city officials and community representatives in forming the Growing Into Life Task Force whose mission was to remove barriers to healthcare for indigent pregnant women and help reduce infant mortality rates.
